Travel Guidance

Louisville, Kentucky is not an international gateway, but it is less than a one hour flight from Chicago, Illinois and Cincinnati, Ohio.  Many airlines offer non-stop service from major international hubs such as New York and Atlanta, Georgia as well.  For delegates coming from or through Cancun, Frankfort, Montreal, Paris, and Toronto, the first US stop could be Cincinnati since non-stop international connections are available.  Cincinnati may also be the easiest connection for many other international and domestic flights.

For overseas visitors, we plan on providing a shuttle service from Cincinnati International Airport (CVG) for Arrivals on September 4 and Departures on September 8.  The airport is under two hours from Louisville by motorway and may be a convenient point of entry. It has direct non-stop flights to and from Cancun, Frankfort, London (Gatwick), Montreal, Paris, and Toronto.

For our American colleagues, it should be noted that Cincinnati is one of the more expensive hubs in the US, being a home to Delta Airlines. It is probably much cheaper to fly to Louisville -- even with the Cincinnati connection -- than to use the shuttle service we will set up.
