Staff and Center Associates Sarah Hollis Sarah Hollis is a Project Assistant with the EPA Region 4 Environmental Finance Center and the Center for Environmental Her previous work included a public sector internship and a membership in a private development company, both of which dealt with housing. As part of an intensive masters project with other graduate students, Sarah created a plan for a non-profit housing corporation to foster rehabilitation, improve community relations and construct new housing in a low income Detroit neighborhood. The plan involved a detailed housing conditions survey, research of current City of Detroit vacant land acquisition policies, facilitation of community meetings and the generation of detailed GIS maps. The plan recently was awarded the Outstanding Student Project Award of 2003 by the Michigan Society of Planning.
